A United Front to Remember, Educate, and Defeat HIV/AIDS
The New Jersey AIDS Walk is proud to announce its evolution into The NJ RED Collective, a powerful alliance of five nonprofit agencies across the state working together to support individuals living with and at risk for HIV/AIDS.
The name R.E,D! represents the organization’s three key objectives:
Remembering the lives and lessons of our movement.
Educating communities with knowledge and resources to promote health, wellness, and prevention services,
Defeating stigma, barriers to care, and the conditions that prevent individuals and families from thriving!
Collectively, The NJ RED Collective provides a comprehensive network of services that touch every corner of New Jersey.
These include:
- Prevention, testing, and harm reduction programs
- Access to life-saving medical care
- Counseling, mental health, and substance use resources
- Housing, hygiene, and nutrition
- Advocacy for equitable healthcare access
About the WALK:
In 2010, a consortium of the leading HIV service organizations joined forces to create the first unified, state-wide, New Jersey AIDS Walk. With record attendance and beautiful weather, New Jerseyans from a cross-section of socio-economic and diverse demographics, joined the Walk to fight for a world without AIDS.
Today, the New Jersey AIDS Walk is held annually on the first Sunday in May in 5 locations. Walks range from a 5 – 10k loop depending on site. It inspires hope for friends and loved ones who are battling this illness.

We cannot afford to let donor dollars cross state lines to support other walks when so many residents of New Jersey need help. Join us on the first Sunday in May! Walk with your family, friend, or coverker in your own community!
