My son, Jeffrey Kurz passed away on August 26, 2013 after a long battle with HIV/AIDS. This is a debilitating disease that reduces people to a shell of themselves. Jeffrey fought the good fight. The medication for this disease is very costly to the patient. Along his path, Jeffrey had several organizations that helped with the cost of his medication. As a result, we feel as though we need to give back to those organizations, so no mother has to lose her child in such a horrific way.
Now, let me tell you about Jeffrey. He was handsome, and his laugh could make you laugh. He was sly and could always find a way to get what he wanted. He had that great smile that made you melt and a genuine heart. He loved music and comedy. He was witty and funny. He was also a technical genius. He lived his life without worrying about tomorrow, he lived for today. He is missed greatly by his mother and his family and friends.
Today, we celebrate his life and the lives of all those who suffer this silent deadly disease. We hope that with these donations, we can give hope to those struggling with this disease. Thank you for doing your part in honor of Jeffrey's life. He will live in our hearts forever.
Please help me support New Jersey AIDS Walk by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance New Jersey AIDS Walk's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
